Excellent. Hotel check-in was very convenient and innovative. There was no need to queue; everything could be done on the phone.
A pleasant stay in the city centre. The hotel is very well located, especially for guests arriving at the bus station. The room was very attractive and comfortable, and the hotel was quiet. Breakfast offered enough choice.
To clarify, we stayed in the “Hostel” wing, which has shared bathrooms and more modest rooms. Even so, the experience was impeccable: a perfect location, a wonderful view of the iconic Snail Tower, a great breakfast included, and a clean room, bathroom and toilets. I will definitely return on my next visit to Tartu.
We chose the hotel for its location and price. It is next to Tartu Bus Station, and from there you can immediately walk by the Emajõgi River, visit the market, Tasku and Kaubamaja, while the Old Town is within easy reach just across the next junction. Parking is free in front of the hotel.
The room surprised us with its spaciousness and light. Everything was clean and tidy. The bed was wide and soft enough, and the temperature was just right. The window could be opened to air the room.
Breakfast was sufficient: the porridge was well cooked and seasoned, and the omelette also tasted good. There were both savoury and sweet choices.
A hotel stay includes use of the sauna centre in the morning. As the times overlap, we would simply have had to get up earlier, so we did not manage to go: sleeping was too tempting, and then it was already time for breakfast.
I enjoyed my stay at Tartu Hotell. The location is excellent: I visited AHHAA, Aura, museums and shopping centres, and everything was within 15–25 minutes. The service at the hotel is superb. Thank you.
A no-frills hotel: clean, with comfortable beds and a good breakfast buffet. The absolute highlight was the sauna area (free of charge in the morning for hotel guests, by the way). Excellent facilities, super clean and, early in the morning, almost entirely to ourselves!
To be honest, I did not have any particular expectations of Tartu Hotell; I booked it for the good location. But wow! I was surprised again and again.
The first surprise came at check-in, when I learned that I had been upgraded from a single room to a family room. The room was comfortable, quiet and, most importantly, so clean.
Secondly, the hotel has a small gym that can be booked. In the morning you can enjoy the sauna and then head downstairs for breakfast, which has a very nice buffet selection.
The staff were kind, polite and helpful, and luggage could be left for safekeeping both before and after the stay. Most impressively, I forgot my swimsuit in the room and received a quick reply to my email saying that they would send it to me in a parcel.
Honestly, I have not experienced such pleasant, smooth and guest-focused service in Estonia for a long time. A thousand thanks to you!
At breakfast on Friday night into Saturday, there was a very pleasant blonde member of staff who gave the children chocolate and ice cream to cheer them up. Such attentive and lovely treatment of the hotel’s youngest guests. The room was very clean and well laid out. The beds are very comfortable. The café food was tasty and well priced, with a very child-friendly menu and service. We will definitely return.
